what is the best prodict to use after rhinoplasty?- with dr. shah

In this video Dr. Shah shares his opinion on post-rhinoplasty skincare, specifically focusing on why he considers retinol as the best skincare product.

Dr. Shah explains that the skin around the nose undergoes unique changes after a rhinoplasty procedure, with some areas becoming oily while others a little more dry. Additionally, the skin itself can become thicker, presenting challenges in maintaining its health and appearance. He highlights how retinol, and specifically retinol by Aesthetic Skin Chicago, not only regulates oil production but also prevents the skin from becoming hyperplastic over time, a common issue seen in aging noses. Moreover, retinol’s ability to improve skin texture and thickness can contribute to a more aesthetically pleasing outcome.

Dr. Shah:

So my favorite skincare product post rhinoplasty is going to be retinol.

I think the nose post rhinoplasty, it has two different faces. Part of the nose gets a little bit oily and part of it gets dry, and it’s strange that the nose itself also comes from the skin will get a little bit thicker afterwards. So really trying to treat that nasal skin effectively.

Retinol works in a couple different ways. First of all, it’s going to help with some of the oil and oil production decreasing. Now, second of all, it’s going to avoid your skin from getting hyperplastic.

If you watch patients over many, many years, sometimes their nose will look okay, but when they get older, their nose just look visibly larger, and that’s because sometimes the skin of the nose is just hyperplastic and that can help with that component of it. And then finally, it can just actually make the skin look thinner, his geologically, which also can translate to those just looking smaller.

I’m going to be biased and think that our retinol is the best because it doesn’t cause inflammation.

Inflammation can also make the skin be hyperplastic. Since our retinol is oil based and micro released, it sort of like doesn’t create this inflammation all at once.

Most retinols, and they work right away. It’s like taking a shot glass, but if you sip on something like a wine or a wine cooler, it’s the same amount of alcohol, but because it’s happening over a longer period of time, your body has less issues with that potentially. And so same with our retinol. It’s delivered, it’s a strong amount, but it’s delivered over a longer period of time that patients have less reaction, less ness with it.
