SLENDER SHOT

Semaglutide and Tirzapetide are primarily used to aide in weight management efforts by reducing appetite and promoting feelings of fullness.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

GLP-1 is a hormone released by your body after eating to help manage appetite and digestion. It slows down the rate at which food leaves your stomach and works to lower blood sugar levels by releasing insulin and inhibiting sugar production. This process makes you feel fuller for longer, curbs your appetite, and can contribute to weight loss. Medications known as GLP-1 agonists mimic these effects, providing additional support for weight management.

Semaglutide vs. Tirzapetide

Semaglutide and tirzepatide are both medications used to promote weight loss, but they belong to different classes of drugs and have some differences in their mechanisms of action, efficacy, and side effects.

SEMAGLUTIDE

Semaglutide belongs to a class of medications called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. GLP-1 receptor agonists mimic the action of GLP-1, a hormone that stimulates insulin secretion and reduces glucagon secretion after meals, which helps to lower blood sugar levels

SIDE EFFECTS?

Common side effects of semaglutide include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. These side effects usually improve over time as the body adjusts to the medication.

TIRZAPETIDE

Tirzepatide is a dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and GLP-1 receptor agonist. It activates both the GIP and GLP-1 receptors, which leads to increased insulin secretion and decreased glucagon secretion, ultimately resulting in lower blood sugar levels.

SIDE EFFECTS?

Common side effects of tirzepatide include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, similar to semaglutide. However, tirzepatide may have a higher incidence of these side effects compared to semaglutide.
