Happy Treatment Tuesday! Today we are with our aesthetician MaryKate as she consults her patient with acne and acne scarring. Having her discontinue her current regiment , MaryKate gives her new skincare guidelines and products to use. In the office, she thoroughly cleanses the skin with our Acqua Facciale and refreshes the complexion with the Sensi Peel by PCA. Our patient will come in monthly for visits with MaryKate to make sure her acne has fully subsided. From there, they will explore lasers and peels to cut down on scarring and hyperpigmentation. #beautifulskin #clearskin #acnescars #acne #acnetreatment #pcaskin #treatmenttuesday #chicago #medicalaesthetics #medicalaesthetician

Peels use a variety of acids such as:

Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)

Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)- For light to medium strength peels. Used in different percentages, depending on the depth of the peel.

AHA’s- Acids such as Lactic, Kojic and Azelaic Acids are all considered Alpha Hydroxy Acids, or AHA’s. They promote an even and clear skin tone.

Hydroquinone- Targeting pigmentation, Hydroquinone is even safe for sensitive skin, as it does not generate a lot of downtime.

Retinols- A powerful ingredient promoting cell turnover, Retinol can be used in deeper peels to improve hyperpigmentation and fine lines.

PCA Peels

PCA Peels- PCA Peels have a range of strengths and are suitable for even the most sensitive skin types. Your PCA Peel is customized to your exact skin type and targets each individual issue. We carry a range of PCA Peels and treatments including:
